I love going back to a photoshoot's folder a few months after the initial edits and skimming through for shots I missed the first time around. (Well, most of the time. Sometimes I just get depressed that even my improved editing skills can't save some of the bad shots.) This one was a prime example - a few months ago I didn't catch that this shot was one of the few where I managed to freeze the arrow mid-air. But now that I did, it's become a favorite. Of course I had to drop in new skies, as with almost every photo from this shoot, but that's what I get for shooting into the sunset on a cloudless evening.
(Some tonemapping in Photomatix involved. And a lot of color toning.)
