NighT through the BlinDz

Morning, Afternoon and night viewI painted 3 primed smooth boards at the same time, working from photos I took during 3 times of the day.I wanted to paint and exterior and interior painting, observing the feeling of outside and in, that I I wanted to further this from previous experiment. I also wanted to abstract all 3 paintings, wasn’t sure how at the time but as I painted the backgrounds, then the background image, mixing the colours as I went, then filling in the blinds, in all 3 paintings I used somewhat the same kind of techniques, splattering watered down paint onto the final surface, blending in the colours, extending the lines, creating a more dynamic picture, thinking about all the abstract artists I've been researching this impacted on the flow, I found the end result was more free to work on, after I was happy with the overall picture, with colours and lines, I created the tonal lines by brushing the brush through its surface, it was a process. The morning light seemed darker through the blinds, but more vivid on the outside. (cool and warm)The afternoon was very light, enhancing the shapes. (cold) The night shot, from the florescent street light and the car lights enhanced the lines and light density creating a very warm atmosphere..It seemed challenging to begin with, through my first investigation and process, it took me a while to get into it, but as soon as I did, I enjoyed every process, it gave me room to delve myself in its paint and surface structure and I became apart of the whole process, using different ways to make marks…
