between St. Gallen and Buchs

From the moving train. This train stretch was somewhere between St. Gallen and Buchs train stations (look at a map, if you are interested). This is along the Swiss part of the Rhine valley. Some of my images along this route also show Liechtenstein, which is located in the mountains bordering one side of this valley. The mountains are breathtaking, although the view is interrupted by houses, power lines and other man made objects. The better I appreciate the images where the beautiful mountains are visible. Photos being processed. At the end, near Buchs, we had our yearly regional meeting of the Swiss Solar Energy Society and visited a solar energy building. To follow.

(Capturing from a moving train: My images from moving trains are real snapshots. You have to click a certain distance "ahead of time", before the object faces you. A strange technique, but it works. Without this planning I get next to nothing worth calling an image. It depends on the speed the train is travelling, of course, and if the camara's speed can be controlled, which I do not know if and how this camara works regarding this feature.).
