Stars

Taken from the beach at Heritance Ahungalla. The hotel lights played spoilsport, but I was loath to walk too far away in case it began raining.

 

I don't know the names of any stars or constellations, but if it helps anyone, I was facing west-southwest, pointing the camera about forty degrees above the the horizon.

 

This is a stack of seven RAW files, hand-aligned in CS5 (hence the poor sharpness - I'm a bit of a spaz). For my first time, I'm pretty pleased, but I definitely want to try again and do better. Does anyone know of any good tutorials?
