Ramzi Kassem calls for the closure of Guantánamo
Ramzi Kassem, a law professor at CUNY (the City University of New York), represents seven prisoners still at Guantánamo, including Shaker Aamer, the last British resident in the prison, whose case I have written about extensively, in part because Shaker, through Ramzi, has, in the last year, made unclassified notes of their meetings available to me, for publication on my website and on the website of the "Close Guantánamo" campaign.
On January 11, 2013, the 11th anniversary of the opening of Guantánamo, Ramzi spoke to the crowd of protestors who had gathered outside the White House, in President's Park South (aka the Ellipse), after a march from the Supreme Court.
