I don't think Amazon wants people to think of the Fire as an Android device. I mean, you've used Android tablets: woud you want that kind of stigma?

 

Nonetheless, this is the best Android tablet on the market. Amazon has their own, curated App Store and it's populated with many, if not most, of the best iPad apps.
