When I first arrived at Curbar Edge, the grey skies didn't look promising. However, about an hour before sunset the clouds parted. What started with a tiny sliver of light on the hills, quickly progressed into light flooding Derwent Valley, lighting up the mist and drizzle.
It was one of those moments that stops you in your tracks and I had to remind myself that I was supposed to be capturing this. I looked back along the edge and saw that the climbers and walkers had also stopped to watch this incredible phenomenon.
