A misty afternoon on the Pier
Around lunchtime yesterday a thick mist descended on Swanage, so I bolted down some food as quickly as I could and made a beeline for the pier. I only shot 3 or 4 LE shots as I was trying not to fall into the LE trap, but once I got home I wished I had shot a few of my other comps with the 10stop filter on after all!
It's not often I process an image into black & white, least of all a long exposure shot, but the colours captured were just too dismal and greenish to process any other way than mono this time. I did try layering in the colour image as a semi transparent image to try and give a hint of colour, but it really didn't work as well as this. So here it is.
I bumped into a flickr friend Brian there too!
Please press L to view on black. It looks much nicer on the black background.
