Five weather balloons inflated to seven feet in diameter serve as projection screens for digital video footage of light reflecting off of water in nature. A dedicated video file for each sphere plays footage shot on location at five important water sites in the Pacific Northwest: Puget Sound, Hanford Reach (Columbia River), Grand Coulee Dam, Bull Run Watershed (outside of Portland, Oregon), and irrigation canals (Yakima Valley, Washington). The projected images are bent by the contours of the balloon, creating the illusion that the orbs are spinning.
