      Congratulations, you are a pro!
The lighting makes this portrait so real & beautiful
I have not enjoyed a portrait as much as this sensitively composed little one gives out such repose & gentle peace & love!

Normally, as you can see, I take safe photo's of flowers in the Garden's like Van Duesen Gardens & sometimes a swan, if I am fortunate enough to find one close enough to the shore in Lost Lagoon, Stanley Park Vancouver.
Once however, the gardener at Queen Elizabeth Park saw me in the flower bed photographing a butterfly who had just landed on a petal.
As soon as he saw me in the bed he shot his water hose into the flower bed where I was just as I was taking my shot of the butterfly.
Recently my husband & i were walking in Granville Is. Vancouver
There is a Court yard in the middle of the market & people can bring their food to eat there on the benches & watch the pigeons or the boats or other people. I had my camera & noticed a small child feeding the pigeons. My point is, how do you get even near another person's child, because as soon as the mother saw me, she rushed over & asked, if I would please not take pictures of her children!

Thanks for your kind words, Let There Be LIght. This little girl's family seemed proud that I was taking the time to photograph their child. I made eye contact with them as I approached and sign-languaged my intent beforehand. They gave me a nonverbal OK. Otherwise, yes, it can be awkward. Sometimes I don't ask, and just use my bigger lens!
