Ring of Fire

After visiting Trillium Lake, Captain Blithering and I went to Multnomah Falls so he could do his thing. I've seen shots of the steel wool before, but seeing it in person blew me away! The sparks were about 100x more intense than I imagined they would be. Be sure to check out the wide comp from his camera, and definitely check out his photostream. Make it Happen, Cap'n!!

Fascinating shot. Navigated here from Aaron's site to see if I can find out what you folks did to create this shot. Completely unfamiliar with the concept and would love to know more!

But what if he had burned down the forest? No one has asked. This is molten steel. I looked in Wikipedia under "thoughtless" and "careless" and found this pic.

rer100 have you ever been near a waterfall? All the surrounding vegetation is soaking wet from the spray. You couldn't start a fire if you wanted to.

This is a great shot, I only spin wool in the snow or on a beach. I hope this does not inspire others to do it where they should not. But this is a great shot and I love how it turned out.

Don't know if you're aware of it, but attempts to visit 'Captain Blitherings' site result in 'This member is no longer active on Flickr' message...?
