An Old one... Cropped a little to remove tree in the background... Left the stem of the tree or it would cut off the ppl working in the far back...

I would like to have a little bit shallower DOF.

Shallow DOF should be used when there are distracting elements in the background - when you've got nice smooth consistent background like this, there's no need. I'd consider cropping at the top a bit, just to remove the trees and the end of the field. this i think may give more depth to the shot. love the subject and the colours are not what I think of when i think of india!

I'd go tighter and lose the people in the background. they aren't the subject. nice colours. Score 7/10 (from the Score

Try using a smaller aperture, as there are too many distractions in the picture. nice colouring though.

I agree. Try to reduce your DoF. Other than that, great eye!

    Thanks Guys...

All, I tried to crop it at the top and somehow it did not appeal to me much... The length of the field is kinda lost...

@fotojux - U've got to check out India when u get a chance... its more beautiful than this and the perspectives are got from shows on TV... its a lot different...

I'll remember to play with DOF the nexttime around... :)

    Thanks all again...

    wonderful colours

good colours, but as "fotojux" if uve used DOF, i think it will become better. I wanted to see only the bullocks and the man - now the background is a bit distracting. - well thats my opinion.

Wow nice one, colour combination is very good. Agree with the crop gives the perspective. Hmm quite agree with the description you have given.

I found your photo in the energybulletin.org - lovely picture but surely they are hoeing not ploughing. Hoeing is weeding between the rows and ploughing buries all the growing plant and stubble.
