2007-09-06e Rowing Boat (again)
Carna is part of the Scottish Inner Hebrides, the largest island in Loch Sunart (near the junction with Loch Teacuis). Though once occupied by 18 families, the Island now has no permenant residences, and two of the three houses set on the East-South-East face are holiday homes. It does however have a large population of ravenous midges and ticks, and a somewhat less ferocious sheep population. The top of the 'mountain' (height >170m) takes about 30-40 minutes to reach from the houses, though 20-25 mins is possible at a good pace. It is also the closest point on the island with mobile phone signal.
