Pillow Swap - A little bird

A little bird told me that someone had something really sad happen and needed a little help with the pillow swap. I was just sitting at home and have been wanting to try new things, so I was more than happy to help out.

So dear partner, I made this just for you. I hope you like birds. I like birds and today, I couldn't get enough of them. I handstitched the beaks and legs. I even whipped up a couple of dozen french knots for the eyes.

The back and binding are in one of my favourite Japanese cotton prints which also has cute little birds. Maybe I went on a bit overboard. I really hope you aren't Tippi Hedron and bird-phobic. The shapes are copied from Alexander Henry's starling print. Please don't think I'm clever enough to draw my own. The binding is only "blog ready" at this stage and needs set in the back. I just wanted to get a photo in good light. I'll get this posted to you first thing tomorrow morning. Thank you for understanding that life happens sometimes and though your pillow is coming a few days late, there is a very good reaon. And this had been made just for you!

(IKEA feather pillow 20"x20" for a full stuff as shown, try 18x18" for understuffed)
