And the tasting

Wowzers. This turned out really well. Its incredibly tart and creamy, much like Greek yogurt. Will work nicely with sweet (I add jam and granola in the AM) and savory (used in place of sour cream). The best part is that the entire process involved very little effort, took around 24 hours (could shorten the time significantly next time, I think) AND I know exactly what is - and isn't - in the yogurt! With the exception of buying a new starter every now and again (the cultures do lose their potency over time) there's no reason to go back to store bought yogurt.


This completes the trifecta of appliances that I use much more than I ever thought possible: the rice cooker, the crockpot and now the yogurt maker!
