Photo experiment #3

I could never get the angle just right but this was the best one of the bunch. 1960 - Grandma on her (now my) porch. You can't see it very well, but it's the same rose bush in both pics.

I usually don't comment on strangers pics, but this is such an amazing picture. I tend to see things and think of who was here before us, who touched these items, sat here, lived here, and this is an actual image for the mind, quite amazing.

This is the coolest version of the picture over a scene idea I've seen. Very nice.

Just wonderful! I did the same for a book cover for our city's bicentennial. Half the main street was a 1950's postcard and the other half was a digital image from today... It worked out great!

Wow - you've executed this perfectly and so lovely that this is a family photo too! I'm just about to embark on a similar project for the course I'm on!! Looks difficult to do!

Be glad the original photographer tilted the camera, because the angle gives this shot its animation. The cherry on top is the date in the border of the black and white. Your image was the most evocative of all the then-and-now pics for me. As a genealogist, it gave me all sorts of ideas! Great work, and thanks!
