Another old photo re-processed: the summit of the Cotopaxi volcano in Equador, photographed using a Fujicon 55mm f/1.8 legacy lens and Olympus PEN E-PL1 camera.
The original RAW photo was grainy, underexposed, slightly blurry and just plain flat; yet I still thought it had some nice potential. So at first I tried real hard to extract the original scene as naturally as possible, but the result was disappointing. Then I tried all kinds of monochrome edits, but that too just didn't work for me. And then, as I was about to throw the towel, I accidentally stubled upon the OnOne "Blue Dawn" preset, and with some additional tweaking in Lightroom, Topaz DeNoise and Nik's Viveza this is the result.
Getting the basics right in the first place sure would have saved me a lot of time, but I think I wouldn't have obtained this Bob Ross scene if I had. :-)
