Andrew O'Brien Receives ParaGolfer

(Photo by Rob Mattson/Amherst College, Office of Public Affairs) Amherst College senior Andrew O'Brien cracks a big smile after receiving a "paramobile" during an informal surprise at the Amherst Golf Club, in Amherst, Mass., Saturday afternoon, July 14, 2012. The assistive chair will not only help him with daily tasks, but also allow him to play the sport he loves--golf. O'Brien was surrounded by Amherst College Police Department Officer Jeff Edwards, parents Kevin and Susan O'Brien, Vic Zumbruski and PGA golf professional David Twohig. Officer Edwards and Amherst women's golf coach Michelle Morgan spearheaded the campaign to raise funds for the device, and raised enough money for it through various functions, such as a scramble tournament and an anonymous donation.
