Hurricane Isaac 2012

September 5, 2012. LaPlace, Louisiana. Today, more 1,900 trained disaster workers with over 100 American Red Cross emergency response vehicles are distributing meals and truckloads of relief supplies in the neighborhoods. Husband and wife volunteer team, Eddie and Patricia Jordan stop by the Georges Moore’s home to offer support and a smile in their difficult time. A few of the items Red Cross is providing the Moore family is food, water and supplies like cleanup and personal hygiene items, coolers, shovels, rakes, tarps, gloves and masks. Disaster Cleanup Kits are a necessity to those living in LaPlace, Louisiana, an area affected by flooding. Photo by Daniel Cima/American Red Cross
