There's a ramshackle old green bus that takes you many miles inside Denali National Park from the visitor center. Most visitors don't get to see this, since the average visitor to any of our national parks stays only four (4) hours and doesn't move more than 200 meters from their car, or train - for those who take the special cruiseship railcars attached to the Alaska Rail Road train that snakes its way up from Whittier in Prince William Sound all the way up to the park. Almost every twist and turn in this road brings brilliant vistas, and the occassional rainbow...
