Comet NEOWISE Above the Clouds (July 9, 2020)
Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) above the distant horizon clouds and valley fog on the morning of July 9, 2020, with the distant lights of the Wintering Hills Windfarm towers shining above the ground fog. The clouds have an interesting pattern of Helmholtz waves as well. The comet was easily visible to the naked eye.
This is a stack of 7 exposures for the ground to smooth noise and one untracked exposure for the sky and cloudtops, all 3.2 seconds at f/2.2 with the 135mm lens and Canon 6D MkII at ISO 1250. Shot from the wheatfield at home.
