“The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event”
Eventually the winter arrived.
In Italy the days going from January 29 to the 2nd of February are called "I giorni della Merla" (The blackbird days) and according to the tradition, they are the coldest day of all winter.
The legend says that mom blackbird looking for a safe place where to find a shelter for her and baby blackbirds from the terrible winter cold, took refuge in a chimneypot. Coming out the next day, her and the babies were full of soot. Since that day all the blackbirds became...black! :)))
I took these three shots half an hour ago in my garden...snow falling from the sky is always a magic show!
