In the day of Qaddafi's killing I remember the great war photographer Tim Hetherington, who died killed by a mortar shell in Tripoli Street, Misurata, Lybia, this year the 20th of April.
He's for me an inspiration not only as a photographer but especially as a genuine human being.
THANK YOU TIM
(I took this shot in Kilinochchi, Sri Lanka, Tamil area, in 2003 while working for UNICEF. It's an analogic shot of the female Tamil Tigers on parade. The tamil war ended last year with the defeat of the Tigers by Sri Lanka Army. The war killed thousands of civilians and many more thousands were displaced in refugees camps, which as a UNICEF staff I could visit. Refugees camps are hell on earth.)
