Day 380: She's Like The Wind
So I ran home, elated that I'd actually left the hospital with the sun still shining... fumbled my way through a change of clothes (it's freezing out there) in the dark (power was out, and I'm in a basement, remember!?) and packed up my camera... chasing after the sunset.
Next thing I know I'm standing out ON the edge of the Gorge, probably as close to the edge of cliffness as you can get (and still be reasonably safe/behind a fence) with the famous winds rushing about me! By the 5th or 7th shot I could hardly feel my fingers, my eyes were running like mad, my hair was every which way, and I was actually screaming intermittently as I would try to audibly chase away the cold. My camera was being blown by the wind... how I got any clear shots is beyond me.
I almost couldn't flip the camera around on myself... as my hands didn't want to ungrip or regrip, whatsoever!
