40" x 56"?
My paper pieced hexagon quilt top now measures approx. 40" x 56". I want it to be large enough to be useful but at the same time, I'm kind of ready to be done with it. I started it just after my half marathon last year (April 2008) and I've worked on it sporadically since then. My throw quilt size pre-cut batting is 60" x 60" so clearly that is one interpretation of throw quilt size. I suppose I could leave the 56" side pretty much as is and just add a border to the 40" side.
By the way - I used 1.25" hexagons from paperpieces.com. In the future, I think 2" is the minimum size I will use unless I'm making a very small scale project.
