The Big Muddy River: Mississippi River at Davenport, Iowa, USA

Jack Kerouac was fascinated by the Mississippi river and wrote about it each time he visited Davenport. I always wanted to see this place in person. Now, I see why Mississippi is called the Big Muddy River.

Mississippi is relatively small at this point. The Ohio and Missouri rivers both join Mississippi and make it truly Mighty. I've seen Mississippi at a few points (including at its inception in Minnesota). I should see it New Orleans right before it drains into the Golf of Mexico.

I have a panorama picture of this place but I have a difficult time straightening the horizon in it. The horizon line has an S shape. It goes up at one point and drops at other points. I'd really like to fix that picture and upload it.
