We were lucky to have the chance to go camping the weekend of the Super Moon; and what a Super Moon it was. You could literally read a book that evening in the moonlight.
Went to the Boy Scouts Outdoor Recreational Center (BSORC); just 15 minutes from home as part of another Indian Tribes (Nation) campout. Was (as always in SoCal) *perfect* weather and the Moon was truly spectacular.
This is the first pic I'm posting with my new camera: the SONY NEX-7. Seems I'm not the only one to have come to a similar conclusion as to this being a potentially great camera (when looking at the specs), as I've seen many great reviews in the field on this camera.
While its not exactly the best HDR/wide-angle camera out there, it does have 24MP going for it, and will eventually get the glass to go wide-angle in the style I like. While I love my LX5, its starting to show it's age and I decided a few weeks back to upgrade to another quasi-point-n-shoot and the NEX-7 more than fits the bill. Though I wouldn't consider it a pocket camera, nor dSLR; its unique in that its a hybrid in-between the two domains.
Internal HDR shot (yes, Sony NEX-7 does HDR!) taken of the Super Moon at our campground in the Irvine Regional Park.
