Moonrise over Tokyo

Newer Older

Trey (Stuck in Customs) was in Japan for a 10-day trip and spent a few days here in Tokyo.

Was great getting to hookup for a few hours. Not often I get to visit with a fellow Texan *and* go out and shoot HDR (what is it with Texans and HDR anyways? ;-)

Figured it best to take him to the top of the Mori building in Roppongi Hills to capture sunset.

2xp HDR rendered photo (tripod mounted) taken shortly after sunset on the other side of the building (thus seeing the Moonrise).

Tokyo, Japan

Jeez man, look at that, you actually captured the curvature of the earth! Was this a super wide angle lens or a stitched pano? Awesome! I really wanted shots like this when I was in Tokyo, tried to get some from the top of the Mitsui Building on my last night but the glass was so far away all I could get was reflections from inside!

Never made it to Roppongi, but will definitely check that area out when I get there again. Not if. When. :)

YAY Tokyo Tower!!!! And what a gorgeous moonrise! Lovely HDR, as always.

    Much thanks y'all!

I like the effect you can get with the curvature like that when using the wide-angle lens.
