light painting with mum and dad

Newer Older

back to the playground for round two. this time with help from mum and dad. Mum did some twirly whirlies, dad did the "stars" and the yellow slide and I did the rest. The stars were Dad's idea and i think really give it that something extra. He even climbed up on top of a tunnel to make the highest star - had me worried about safety him climbing up and jumping off repeatedly!

go team!

Oh, I love this. You make me want to go to a playground and light it up. It is also great that you lightpaint with your mum and dad. I lightpaint with my son. Allyeska, what kind of lights do you use? You really have some colorful ones. I especially like the multi color ones.

Great shot! Yeah I had to stamp out the tripod shadow from my shot too, thanks to the streetlight behind.

I recently discovered light painting ... and love it.

How did you get the light to be coloured, and layered?

the lights (apart from the stars which was an ordinary LED light) are just LED kids toys bought from ebay! The Reject Shop sells a small range of LED toys and glo stick items.

The best one I have ever seen, and am desperately trying to locate, is the sword they were selling at sky fire (which i didnt have time to buy one).

This is great. I love the "stars" and the swishy thing on the slide. This is a really fun picture!

This is wonderful Ally - what I like most is that the means doesn't overwhelm the subject by which I'm trying to say that you don't look and think "oh, light painting". I actually looked and instant reaction was "what a colourful playground", then it was clear what you'd done.

I like the stars too, maybe a led on a stick with extended switch would get stars into the sky easier!

Nice photo, but I have a question. What did you use? Like a phone or what?
