Typical Danish cord chair

These elegant chairs first appeared, I think, in the 1960s, and are still popular today. They're seated with Danish cord, which is made from tightly twisted kraft paper, making a very strong seat. The weave pattern is traditional and is usually held on under the seat on a series of small L-shaped nails.
