Fort Beekenburg, Curaçao

This is the view from Fort Beekenburg. This fort was originally built to protect the Spanish Water from the English and French army during the 18th century.


The Fort was named after Mister Van Beek, who coordinated the defense strategy at the time.

On this photograph you can see the Caracasbaai (Caracas Bay). A popular destination for diving and snorkeling because the coral reef starts just next to the beach.
