Swollen, leaking and scorched 12 V SLAs removed from an APC UPS. APC have a reputation of overcharging the batteries in their UPS's. The chargers are dumb, they don't switch from the "bulk" rate required to charge the batteries quickly after an power outage to bring things back online to "float" rate once the batteries are charged.
