Cool pic. My mom went to Mackenzie back in the late 1960s (graduated in 68)

Beautiful. I was so saddened that Mackenzie had closed down last year due to poor maintenance and low attendance. I've worked in that constellation-now Cody HS constellation covers that area-and the neighborhood, esp. Oakman Blvd, Mackenzie, Littlefield, and Esper avenues, still obtain their beauty.

David Mackenzie, if I'm not mistaken, was the dean of WSU under the administration of Frank J. Cody-who converted Old Main/Central High School into Wayne University, now Wayne State Univeristy-whom Cody HS is named after.

Although I've never stepped foot in Mackenzie HS, out the other high schools that share its design-Denby, Pershing, and Redford (before the additional wings), and to some point Wilbur Wright HS (although slightly smaller than the four), Mackenzie has the best Art-Deco on its exterior.

I may be a bit off with the history bit, but I appreciate you taking this pic and posting it.
