"lost in Autumn"
Inspired from this mornings family walk through Plessey Woods, in Northumberland that reminded me it is Autumn and not Winter! Well not yet!
I have been a massive fan of impressionism and impressionist photography for some time now. But all my attempts have been failures! So today I tried a different technique I used my 35mm f1.8 lens and no tripod - just focused on the base of the trees and then moved the camera vertically.
I was delighted that this image didn't need any straightening or cropping! What I did find more beneficial with the 35mm is that I didn't get the lens distortion when I used a 10-20mm lens!
Also we had some wonderful side light coming through the woods from the morning sun!
It was a lovely walk and the kids loved it! Scamp our year old Shih-Poo yes that's right (half toy poodle half shitzu) loved it too! He even went swimming in the little stream, well you don't have much option when your so small that even a little puddle requires swimming through!
I also had to do this technique on my 6 year old Max as he was watching me and then saying lets see? then it was do me!, I'll share those results later! Anyhow off to pack up my kit for an early start tomorrow!
See you soon!
