Inspired by looking back over my images that I hadn't processed and had left sat on my external hard drive.
Also it was in honour of my original image "Into the Mist" passing 2,000 views today, so it made me think how did the other images stack up? I deliberately processed this one in B&W as the other had been in colour, also you'll see that this was from a lower angle allowing me to highlight the reflection of the middle post.
Many of you will recognise this location as Ashness Jetty, at Derwentwater in the Lake District. There is normally a healthy debate about how you should tackle " classic spots" and "classic shots" for me it's like turning up to play golf at St. Andrews and saying "hey I cannot play like Tiger Woods so I'll play my game and take my shoots, if they look like a Tiger shot then full credit to me for hitting the ball in the sweet spot!". Also would you turn up at St Andrews and say "no I'm not going to play!", life is too short to not take a shot at the best views in the world! So what if you've had to stand in a line and queue to get your turn, it's still your turn!
Anyhow enough of the IMO discussion, I'm sorry I think too many people beat themselves up about popular spots and shots. Afterall many of the greats have all walked in each other's footsteps, if not view finders!
Well there you go, and I guess my lack of time out and about is giving me a chance to clear down some backlogged processing! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
