"rhinestone cowboy"

Inspired night light painting down at the Caves in Cullercoats with Paul & Mick, and of course sung by Glen Campbell.

You've Got To View This One On Black!

This is one from a while ago when I out with young Paul and Yoda Mick Ridley! Mick met up with us two to show us the ropes and all things light painting! We had a great night frightening the Pigeons in the caves and boy were some of them hardcore! Even with this spin several held their ground and in true Geordie style wouldn't move out!

This was Mick's idea to try an over head spin and I think it was my first ever try at that! Instantly I knew the song! The overall image is underexposed but I love the fact that due to the shape of the cave you end up with a rather strange silhouette! Plus you can see me boots! In true Cowboy fashion! Yeee Haaa!

Anyhow had a good day today, getting back in control of things after watching a truly inspirational video this morning from one of my light painting contacts. Denis Smith aka biskitboy shared with the viewer how he has used photography and in particular light painting as he manages his struggle with the dark side of life.

I was particularly impressed as he was about to attend a conference in Australia to talk to Doctors in fact over 600 of them about how he uses photography! Major respect to this guy and make sure to check out his video! Just awesome!

Glen Campbell ~ "Rhinestone Cowboy"

"I've been walkin' these streets so long

Singin' the same old song

I know every crack in these dirty sidewalks of Broadway

Where hustle's the name of the game

And nice guys get washed away

Like the snow and the rain

There's been a load of compromisin'

On the road to my horizon

But I'm gonna be where the lights are shinin' on me."
