This was my new addition to my Dirty Little Secrets set taken in an abandoned army barracks on the outskirts of Bath. It was hard to get a shot that really represented the whole place as it's SO vast....but since we were messing around doing model type shots I thought I'd give this one a go within my surroundings (plus I liked the VERMIN graffiti! haha)
Title is taken from the Army adverts in the UK (so my American flickrites might have missed the reference had I not explained ;)
This was shot with some fancy umbrella setup that Lee and Rich were using and that I couldn't for the life of me explain right now, but just thought i'd say, cos people do that. don't they? lol.
HISTORY....for those interested...
HMS Royal Arthur in Corsham was one of the Royal Navy's shore establishments - similar to HMS Ganges but on a smaller scale. The site at Corsham opened in 1947 after moving from Skegness. The Corsham site finally closed in 1993. Plans to redevelop or demolish the site have been hampered by the presence of asbestos, though its removal has recently begun. It is frequently use for police dog training.
