Bottlenose Dolphin and Calf - Explored

Taken from land at Chanonry Point. This is Rainbow and her very young calf (so far offically unnamed but known as 'Dave' by some of the photographers at the Point) who was born in early August. The calf stuck close to it's mother and was fairly easy to get a shot of as it always came out of the water a little later than her.

I'm really pleased to now be able to identify three of the dolphins seen regularly at Chanonry - something I've never been able to do before. Thanks to Tim Stenton for helping me out with Rainbow and Mischief and I've since seen Moonlight and her new calf Luna somewhere in my images still to be edited.

This image has made Explore and the Front Page - thak you so much for all the views.
