In an impressive display of international worker solidarity, International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 10 (ILWU) in the San Francisco Bay Area refused to cross pro Palestinian picket lines to unload the Israeli Zim ship, gaining victory in 2014 for the Block the Boat movement. Longshoremen at other west coast ports also refused to unload. The following article from 2021, when a similar movement took place, talks about the 2014 victory and gives further context.
