Tides reclaim us.

The water was so cold. We took turns braving it for the sake of the other's photo and would spend half an hour afterwards lying out on the rocks, soaking up the sun. On this day, we ran out of sunlight before we could make it back to the car. We'd climbed out over cliffs and beds of mussels, hauling windows and ladders and towels and clothes and bags of camera equipment and had to find our way back in the dark, with the tide rising.
