In the Bondi of my mind

    Newer Older

And my foray into sharing textured photos continues. I took this a while ago and played with it then, but I've recently done a crop which I think makes it work more effectively. And there's another shot in here, focused more on the two people walking up the path, which I like too, but I've yet to settle on.

Anyhoo, this is up the north end of Gould St. in Bondi, around the corner from where I live and just opposite the back of the school, for those in the know...

Oh, and I reckon it works better on black, you know, L it up.

I think the effect is effective! A memory, perhaps memory lane...

Nice that you can show us your neighbourhood. Looks pretty nice, I don't know your side of town at all - life is no longer a beach for me. The texture gives it a kind of dreaminess and I like the figures too.

Heheh, cheers mate, and memory lane is cute, can't believe I didn't think of that! Nice work sunshine. And glad you this it works, it's always good to have confirmation on these things! ;-) I know, totally, I was really surprised by the difference it makes on this one. Cheers mate! Thanks mate, alas life is no longer a beach for me either, and I don't think I've actually been down to the water in a couple of months! Shocking I know. And yeah, I'm getting more and more suckered by these damnable textured dreaminess games!

Cheers mate, and yes, exactly. I've got a not so secret secret fantasy of photographing much of Bondi like this for when I finally leave it. ;-)
