Has Monotype gone Dutch?

Dear Monotype, why should we subscribe to two versions of Imprint?

The Monotype Subscription Library offers two versions of Imprint on the basic level. How to decide between the two? Both versions of this typeface are included in the basic subscription level as from 2016-02-15. As with many Bitstream faces, Dutch 766 does not bear the original name because of trademark issues between Monotype and Bitstream which date back into the 1980s. A closer look reveals that, as is the case with many Monotype typefaces that were digitized in the early 1990s, Imprint is rather light and character fitting (spacing) is uneven. Maybe Dutch 766 could serve as a text version to the Monotype version? Monotype Imprint was probably digitized from a larger point size. The character fitting should be made tighter to turn it into a proper display version then. But should entry level library subscribers really be bothered with questions like these? In my opinion, most of them would be served much better with only one version of Imprint which is called as such.
