Collared Peccary crossing the road.

The collared peccary (Peccary angulatus) is the only wild, native pig-like animal in the United States. It is also known as the Javelina, and Musk Hog and skunk pig. Favorite food is the Prickly pear.

The peccary is not a pig.

Observed in Sabino Canyon, Arizona.
