'Make a photograph in collaboration with a subject, that enables the subject to get their message across.' - Tom Hunter

Unfortunately today was the only day I had free to shoot but meant I missed the deadline. Regardless, here is Maisie Tyrer aged 81 and still working 6 days a week to run her newsagents.

Lovely portrait - like your framing and her reflection in the ice-cream cabinet.

Love the lighting here (go look on black) and yes the framing too. She could teach a lesson or three to the generations that have come after her. Love it.

I find a good portrait can make one feel like one's met the sitter, that's definitely the case here.

I like the way her face seems echoed in the roses on her cardi. Lovely sounding lady. Three cheers for her and let's all keep using the little shops!!!
