Light on the Mountain Top . . .
It was 11:30 in the morning when the sun (that is as far south as it can get this time of year) finally touched the tippy-tops of Mount Drum in the Wrangell Mountains. Alaskans (who are starved for sunlight this time of year) rejoice at the sight of the sun touching any part of the country that surrounds them in this week leading up to solstice.
