Hudson Pointe Park Snowshoeing
1/11/09

With the fresh snowfall Sister and I were excited for some new snow on top of the iced over leftovers from the last storms. Much to our surprise, someone already beat us to the trail, but were were able to find ungroomed space on the trail for our snowshoes.

The semi-loop brought us down to the Hudson River where she told me about what it looks like in the summer time when she was there last with her husband on a canoe.

I was excited to see that the Open Space Institute had done some work on the park, and their name was on the trail markers. OSI is an organization that protects scenic, natural, and historic landscapes to ensure public enjoyment, conserve habitats, and sustain community character in the Adirondacks, as well as many other places along the East Coast.
