My DIY ringflash, see the workflow for more info and descriptions.

Hanimex CX-25 through the DIY umbrella diffuser from above. Hard to say the power level of the flash because it doesn't have any scale for now. ;) Background is the same white fabric that I used as a diffuser on the righflash and also with the umbrella. Shot with Nikon D2H + Nikkor 50mm/1.8D, flash connected to the camera thru the DIY multi flash sync box (for safe sync because the flash is with high trigger voltage).

My guess is that it´s gonna take about seven point two seconds until this is on the main blog!

Very nice! That one beats mine. The solid construction and excellent attachment system are very impressive. I'm stealing ALL your ideas for my next one :)

Think you could make and sell me one, without the flash? :D

I guess it might be cheaper to buy one from the store. ;)

cheaper to buy what from the store? ringflashes arent cheap and i've never seen an attachment like this.

that having been said i'm curious with only one light how effectively the light output is from the bottom compared to the top.

Well, that "cheaper to buy from the store" was just meant as a kind of a joke etc...

The light output on the bottom is much smaller but not too bad because the white fabric bounces a good amount of light back to the bowl and the light distributes nicely to the bottom.
