Making Hay While the Sun Shines
After a damp spring, summer has roared in like a wildfire in Almonte this weekend, with temperatures reaching 40C.
The one consolation amidst the swelter is that is has been possible to cut, dry, and bale the first round of hay at my farm in rapid succession.
Jumblie, my Dalmatian, fulfils his duty to the farm by valiantly guarding the bales against field mice.
When not guarding hay, Jumblie serves as mascot for UNICEF Team Canada.
