Les Bulles, Grenoble

    Newer Older

I've just rediscovered another view of the cable car at Grenoble, of which I posted a couple of other shots here some 18 months ago.

This is one of my favourite places to sit and while away some time over a coffee or a cold beer. Pity I don't get there very often!

This is one of the views from the cafe terrace at La Bastille, an old fortification overlooking the city of Grenoble in France.

You can walk up there (!), or catch the cable car (telepherique) riding in 'Les Bulles', the egg-shaped cable-cars.

Amazing how Switzerland is festooned with these things. My belief is that they should only be used by lazybones (like me) when out of time and coming down off a mountain. :-)

Lovely view, you could start a new group "coffee with a view".

      Excellent image.
I wish I'd noticed it on my whistle stop visit to the area a couple of years ago, would have loved to have ridden it.

What a fantastic view but I'd rather see it from here than be hyperventilating in one of those spheres ;-)
