Leshan Giant Buddha

The Leshan Giant Buddha is located to the East of Leshan city and is at the confluence of three rivers. The stone carving was begun in the year 713 (Tang Dynasty). It took thousands of workers to complete it 90 years later, in the year 803. It is on the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites.
